Media Warta Nasional | Jakarta – Badan Anti Narkoba Nusantara (B.A.N.N) convened its National Leadership Meeting, attended by the organization’s founders, leaders, Central Leadership Board, and representatives from regional boards.
Several programs were discussed in accordance with the regulations set forth by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and anti-narcotics laws. One significant initiative is the establishment of the Rumah Hukum Rakyat Nusantara (RHRN), consisting of 7 lawyers and 15 paralegals. RHRN aims to provide legal assistance to the public, covering criminal, civil, and consumer dispute matters. Sugono SE,SH.C.Me, Chairman of B.A.N.N, revealed these developments to reporters following the meeting.
The change in B.A.N.N’s logo was also addressed to distinguish it from the BNN logo. While the meanings differ, both organizations share the vision of combating drug abuse and protecting the nation’s youth. The role of society in combating drug crimes is enshrined in Article 104 to Article 108 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. B.A.N.N pledges full support to BNN and the Indonesian National Police in preventing and combating drug abuse and trafficking.
Preventive efforts take precedence for B.A.N.N, including the training of anti-drug activists across various sectors and increasing awareness of drug dangers among the populace, particularly youth. One imminent program is a seminar on drug abuse dangers targeting students and youth from educational institutions and youth organizations across the 5 administrative regions of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. Speakers from BNN and the Indonesian National Police will impart crucial knowledge. “We are committed to fortifying Indonesia’s youth as we stride towards Indonesia Emas 2045,” emphasized Sugono SE,SH.C.Me
